  • Research interest
The motivation of our research group is to understand the molecular basis of biological phenomena using fluorescence spectroscopy. By utilizing the prior background in fluorochemistry, nano-science, and molecular biology, our research group has extensively explored the fields in a biological context specifically in the field of small-molecule drug discovery. Our research interests mainly focus on the following fields:
    • Modulation of protein-protein interaction with small molecules particularly relevant to the discovery of novel therapeutic agents for cancer therapies.
    • Chemical approaches to modulating innate immunity or activating energy metabolism of T cells with the goal of providing reagents useful for cancer immunotherapy.
    • Studying the mechanism of amyloid aggregation related to Diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
    • Development of naturally occurring small molecules and their synthetic analogs with potential antiviral efficiency.
