Infrastructure Facility

Library

Apart from Central Library of the College, the Department also having a Seminar library of 300+ books, for the students and faculties. The Department also provides e-books (PDF format) to the students.

Museum

The Department contains a rich museum with over 200+ preserve specimens, bones, slides and a repository of local Amphibia. The Department is planning to construct one “Fish Gallery” in future.

Laboratory Facilities

The department has well equipped 3 class room/laboratories, a well-equipped ‘INSTRUMENT ROOM’ and an additional Research facility; all kinds of syllabus-oriented instruments and chemicals are available with the department for UG Students. Students are always encouraged to experience handling of instruments.

Animal House Facility: Department of Zoology of Rammohan college is the oneunder Calcutta University which is recognized with Animal House facility (Reg no. 1795/PO/Re/S/14/CPCSEA, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India) and following facility and instruments are designated for research in the department.
