Research Policies:

POLICIES ADOPTED BY RESEARCH CELL

• Regular presentations from teachers, registered scholars and students are encouraged on the topics related to their research as well as field trip/ and dissertations, respectively.
• Research Cell recommends financial support for teachers invited to present papers within India and aboard.
• Research Cell recommends for awarding Prizes to teaching faculty by the college management for regular publication activity and also for acquiring the doctoral degree.
• Research Methodology Workshops are organized time to time in various disciplines to identify the thrust area and to discuss the latest research tools and techniques and disseminate information on the 'where' & 'how' of submitting research manuscripts for publication.
• Upgradation and maintenance of already existing Central Research Lab to help teachers carry out active research along with regular class room teaching.
• To inform students about intercollegiate research opportunities and motivate them to publish original work in leading journals and make presentations at conferences, workshop on Research Methodology organized in the college.
• Efforts initiated to seek research assistance from the University of Calcutta for providing teachers with access to e-resources & plagiarism software.
• College faculty members are encouraged to take initiative for book publication and take up journal editorships.
• Some faculty members are on the editorial board(s) of different national and international journals. The Cell sensitizes others to be active in this regard.
• The Cell encourages faculty members to take up collaborative research works, research/ publication ventures with Institutions within India and abroad.
• The Cell inspires teachers to act as resource persons in a larger academic fraternity.
  
  It was recommended that all these policies will be reviewed on a regular basis and any changes whatsoever will be informed to the teachers through the college website as well as through formal notice(s).
